A BIG Thank You
In this season of giving thanks and celebrating family togetherness, I wish to extend a warm thank you to everyone who has been involved in a myriad of ways with my son, Caleb Potter, and his recovery. On July 4, he was involved in a skateboarding accident in our little hometown of Wellfleet on Cape Cod, that caused him serious injuries. He came home from Spaulding Rehab in Boston just before Thanksgiving. Through the blog we started:

the Wellfleet community of support stretched far and wide across the country, and in fact, throughout parts of the world, with many people offering prayers and words of wisdom. We could not have come so far without this legion of support from all of you, in Wellfleet and beyond. We are sincerely grateful.

since Caleb always called me mumsie that is what I will be signing in as - today - just now Caleb went into surgery for his jaw . before, while Kai and Max were holding his hand I asked him to open his eyes - that it would mean alot to his brothers. He pushed with his feet against the bed and arched his back and with all his might he opened his right eye. Progress! Keep him in your prayers and thoughts - I know with certainty that he feels it. Love to you all Sharyn
fantastic news, Sharyn, super glad to hear it. Chopper and I, and of course then entire town, are pulling hard for him! Even the 'lizards' are asking people, who's this Caleb kid, and what happened to him? so it's great that the signs and flags and everything is making a difference here in town! it's quite a sight!

Yea Jennie, this is such a great picture of you!! Caleb's gonna love this when he sees it, it might mean you have to get back out there again with him on another board..but that would be a blast anyway! I am so amazed by your strength, and can't wait to see you all again! XO!!
