-Hello everybody out there. I am up and running and will keep you posted each day, as to Caleb's progress. Jennie is here today and Richard Blakley was here also, and we have good news to report.
-Caleb with assistance was able to sit up for the first time, opened a tin of mints with both hands and the most touching event was when Richard placed a Wellfleet Oyster in Caleb's hands without even saying anything. Caleb obviously knew what he was handling and was trying to pry it open with his hands. He also reached infront of him towards the goodlooking nurse, and slowing removed her sethoscope from her neck and jiggling it next to him.
-Caleb came through his lower jaw surgery successfully, and his jaw was wired shut for 3 weeks. I promise this is the only time he will be quiet. His upper head region will be operated on the week after next and they will address the eye at that point. Till then we do not have any update on that. They are attmepting to move him out of Surgical Intensive Care, to night or no later than tomorrow morning and he will start phsyical therapy soon there after.
-We feel encouraged everyday by Caleb's improvements. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts. We certainly can feel that energy channeled to him.
-I understand that everyone is most anxious to come see him, and as Caleb heals, we will try to get you in to say hello, but for now I am grateful that you are hanging tight to home and respecting the families wishes to give him time to heal.
- I will be updating you daily, so check your computer instead of calling Kai, Max and Jennie if you can.
-Your generousity and love carries us all through.
---Sky will be setting up my own account this week, but for now I am going to do updates under Jennie's name.
