Thanks Skye so much for all her blog worthy talents! Information and communication is key. The fundraising efforts are coming together. What we know right now is.....July 26th (thursday), The Caleb Potter Wellfest Concert at Mayo Beach. 6:00-9:00 PM Patty Larkin will be opening for The Rip It Ups (the Rip IT Ups will have special guest appearances) 21 local shellfishermen donating and shucking, a 50:50 raffle, a year round seafood raffle, beverages, t-shirts and pirate flags will be sold as well....should be a great time....come one and all!!! Restaurants in town are participating in Caleb Potter nights where a portion of the proceeds from the nights sales will go to the fund....look for the schedule to be posted soon of what restaurnts are donating on what night. August 1 (wednesday)at the Wicked Oyster...pot luck food and a silent auction with a raffle door prize...$10.00 suggested donation. August 20 (monday) an acoustic concert at the Congregational Church ...it's going to be an awesome line up of musicians....entertainment for one and all! We will be having a paddle auction...date still to be determined as donations are continually flowing in. IE: a September week in a beach house in Truro right on the water, a surfboard with extra fin and bag, fishing poles. a years membership at Willy's Gym. Golf Tee time at Chequesett, many gift certificates, someone wants to "pay forward" a van that was fundraised and given to them during thier own crisis, paintings (Joan Clark, Laura Norman), photographs {Nate Johnson, Ryan Birchall), hand crafted furniture, hand crafted jewlry and many, many more generous offers! A night at the beachcomber for bands is in the discussion phase,no date yet but most likely on a Monday night in August, the Elks lodge today with food, music and a dunk tank (2:00 PM), the Mason's want a spaghetti dinner night..tentative date is the 28th of July(two nights after the Mayo Beach concert....bring your photos and stories!) The donation cans are on going as is the pirate flags, stickers and t-shirts. So as you can see...the fundraising committees have been hard at work and the generousity of all is overwhelming.....thnak you, thank you, thank you! Continued love and encouragement for Caleb,Sharyn and the family and friends! Jodi
