On the fourth of July, 2007 Caleb Potter was involved in a skateboarding accident. He suffered serious injuries and continues to need all of our positive thoughts and prayers. This blog is to serve as a space for updates on Caleb's journey of recovery.

Elks Lodge Benefit
There will be a benefit held for Caleb TOMORROW (Sunday, July 15th)
My name is Larry Wentworth and I was visiting Wellfleet for the weeks of June 30th-July 14th with my Fiance' and my 2 sons (we were married at Ballston Beach on the 7th) when on the 5th we drove by the prayer vigils and learned of the terrible accident that happened to Caleb! We were so impressed with the community outpouring of love, caring and help that we were checking with everyone on Calebs condition daily and praying for his complete, full and speedy recovery! I have never met Caleb but feel he must be a singularly special individual to be so honored by all of you folks with your love and help! I look forward to someday meeting Caleb myself and telling him of the wonderful community we saw on our trip down there! We have for many years dreamed of moving down there someday and what we saw in the community of Wellfleet only reaffirmed what we knew....that it is a very special place full of very special people! Keep up the great work on Calebs behalf and Caleb....if you read this, I wish you the best in your future! With friends and family like you have.....you are a very rich young man in life!
thank you larry for your kind & observant words, they bring tears to my eyes.
wellfleet indeed feels not only special but sacred. i am so happy you were able to witness our community in a way that is not always possible in the busy summer months.
not to promote wellfleet's "special" quality too much... where ALL the world can see because we like the intimate connections this small town allows (!)... but there is always room here for more loving & creative hearts.

A BIG Thank You
In this season of giving thanks and celebrating family togetherness, I wish to extend a warm thank you to everyone who has been involved in a myriad of ways with my son, Caleb Potter, and his recovery. On July 4, he was involved in a skateboarding accident in our little hometown of Wellfleet on Cape Cod, that caused him serious injuries. He came home from Spaulding Rehab in Boston just before Thanksgiving. Through the blog we started: http://calebpotter.blogspot.com/ the Wellfleet community of support stretched far and wide across the country, and in fact, throughout parts of the world, with many people offering prayers and words of wisdom. We could not have come so far without this legion of support from all of you, in Wellfleet and beyond. We are sincerely grateful.
Sharyn L. Lindsay and family
