regarding today's article in the globe. this reporter was to write an article on Caleb's unbelievable strength and all the beautiful support and energy coming out of this town.
i am absolutely disgusted by today's publishing's graphic and unneeded play by play of what we all, all ready know.
this column was very hard for me to stomach and stirred up to many emotions to give it a second glance.
Abraham was supposed to write a very different article but obviously dropped the ball.
i have refused to talk to any reporter for that very reason.
the main goal of the Potter Lindsay family and I was to get the word out about the Caleb potter foundation, which sadly was never even mentioned in the article.
for those of you out there who share similar thoughts please know that this article was intended to be both beneficial to Caleb and written in good taste.
i feel that neither goal was achieved.

Shaye,
Reporters are all about getting their stories published and all newspapers care about is selling newspapers. It seems they often get it wrong. Don't worry about this. You may wish to respond with a letter to the editor that says what you have said here and use the opportunity to mention how people can help Caleb on his road to recovery through a donation to the fund at the Cape Cod 5. Don't let the reporter's insensitivity effect you. To hell with him. There are much more important things to focus on and you certainly should not let this jerk waste another moment of your time. Put this one newspaper story out of your mind. The Cape Cod papers seems to be doing a much better job on reporting.

Don't sweat the Globe, this is minor compared to what they are capable of. I think you are represented well and may be still too emotionally close to it as you should be

Shaye,
Newspaper reporters write the stories they want to write, regardless of what we want.
Besides, today's Globe article was a two-week-old story, and a poor version at that (way to go, Globe!). The people in this Town are way past that and on to helping Caleb heal, and supporting you and the Potter-Lindsay family in any way we each can. arlene

Shaye,
I understand why you are upset b/c it wasn't what you expected. But don't let it get you down - I thought the article portrayed wellfleet, caleb, and you all in a positive light. Even if it just makes 5 or 10 more people interested in the subject, then maybe they will look into it more and find out about the cape cod 5 fund. I think you did the right thing by talking with the reporter.
Take care and go-caleb-go!

The ton of people who care most about everyone involved don't need a reporter to know the story. Positive thoughts will bring positive results.

No worries Shaye,
We all know the good intentions behind you and the family relating to Caleb..you have done all you can in all reality to help the family, and have been totally responsible. Try to just focus on Caleb's recovery and know that everyone is behind you 100%. We are all lucky to have you! Especially Caleb, Sharyn, Jan, Kai, and Max!
