On the fourth of July, 2007 Caleb Potter was involved in a skateboarding accident. He suffered serious injuries and continues to need all of our positive thoughts and prayers. This blog is to serve as a space for updates on Caleb's journey of recovery.

Good ol' Wellfleet
muchas gracias to andy for the art and to tracy, fred, symon and reese for providing the space.
Sharon, I was away this week for awhile hanging with my Momma in Stockbridge to see the play One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Nurse Ratched was played by Linda Hamilton, (the chick from the Terminator). Mom and I went to The Red Lion Inn late night as we always have after seeing the plays for a night cap or three and sure enough Linda showed up for cocktails on the porch too. I rapped with her for awhile about the play and ended up asking her where she lived. She said, "Malibu". I asked if she had surfer friends and told her the short story of our Caleb. I wrote his name on the cocktail napkin and told her to check out his link and to send it around. I told her the importance of the fund and the need for prayers. She told me she firmly believes in the power of prayer and would do whatever she could to get this out there. With tears in both our eyes she wished everyone well and we gave the PIRATE ARRGHHHHH to each other!!!!! Hollywood is with us now for whatever that may be worth. Also, the chick at the bookstore in Stockbridge took the Caleb sticker off my Mom's shirt and said she would wear it and spread the word. That face of his always makes people stare at my chest. . . I think I'll wear it even when he comes home. . . hahaha xoxoxoxox, settie
This so kicks ass! A HUGE THANKS to our very talented friend Andy (you've seen his waves on so. wellfleet general store)...he donated all this for our viewing pleasure. All the better to pray for you my dears...
It's Barbara again from the Tool concert. I have been checking in daily for updates on Caleb's condition. Although I have never met Caleb or anyone from Wellfleet, I am still praying and thinking about all of you. I am amazed at the amount of love and support that everyone has shown. The spray painting looks great! The prayer circles are wonderful! Props to the restaurant for giving all their tips toward Caleb's fund and the firefighters as well. It's great to know there's a community of people out their who are so kind and dedicated to each other. With all the love heading Caleb's way, it's no wonder he is making so much progress! Continue doing what your doing! Best Wishes! ~Barbara

A BIG Thank You
In this season of giving thanks and celebrating family togetherness, I wish to extend a warm thank you to everyone who has been involved in a myriad of ways with my son, Caleb Potter, and his recovery. On July 4, he was involved in a skateboarding accident in our little hometown of Wellfleet on Cape Cod, that caused him serious injuries. He came home from Spaulding Rehab in Boston just before Thanksgiving. Through the blog we started: http://calebpotter.blogspot.com/ the Wellfleet community of support stretched far and wide across the country, and in fact, throughout parts of the world, with many people offering prayers and words of wisdom. We could not have come so far without this legion of support from all of you, in Wellfleet and beyond. We are sincerely grateful.
