On the fourth of July, 2007 Caleb Potter was involved in a skateboarding accident.
He suffered serious injuries and continues to need all of our positive thoughts and prayers.
This blog is to serve as a space for updates on Caleb's journey of recovery.

I just came across this photo. I couldn't help but draw a connection between Caleb's facial expression and your words in the post below, Sharyn.

Beautiful picture Sky! Caleb look at peace on the water surrounded by friends.
I hope each and every one of you has a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year full of light and hope.
I know in my heart Caleb will be the pirate he once was (with maybe a few flaws) and be marching in the 4th of July parade in 2008.
2008, where did the time go.

Blessings and love to you all.

Dear Sky.....Thank you so much for sharing this pic..It reminds of Caleb's vibrance and his possibilities. Thank you for your kind words and all the visual cues you've given us over time...it all helps.

Wishing you and yours a brilliant Holiday Season, and hope one day to catch up with you. I'm a Seasonal neighbor of Kim and Philippe Villard's in ME...they are the ones who "introduced" me to Caleb and his darling family..which includes YOU! Fond remembrances of the Cape.

Take really good care...I'll send a pic asap...Be well. Take good care.

In Love and Gratitude,

Melinda

AAAhhh, in that photo you can just feel Caleb warming his face in the setting sun. Soaking up all the beauty of his beloved waters and friends. Now you, Sharyn, need to warm your soul in the heart heat of all who send their love...bask in it and let it's heat warm you on these cold nights of dark thoughts. Soak it up and relish it and know that Caleb, you, your boys, are all on a journey which cannot be fully understood for now.

I have hesitated to mention it before, but we lost our beautiful 23 year old daughter this time last year to a car accident, and it seems at times that the pain is unbearable. But somehow we find ourselves on this journey of discovery and are trying to learn, like you, to trust that we are doing what we are supposed to be doing. I believe with all my heart that Caleb is meant to be on this earth for longer, that he is meant to grow and learn and morph into who he will be. And that he and you, are meant to be great teachers to us all. Your generous sharing through this blog is helping so many, helping us to remember to love and to live and to hope and to reach out.

As always, I send my thanks to you and my thoughts of peace and health and light.

Amen to the BLOg above (..as mom said); And to you and yours, may the Beauty of the Season fill your hearts with Joy, the Beauty of Remembrance, the Hope of things to come, the Abundance of Life, and the Peace that passes all understanding.

We ARE all connected....your pain is my pain, and so on.....

Thank you.

Dear Sharyn, et al - I couldn't help but stop and say "ahhhh" to myself after seeing the photo of Caleb on the bay. I don't often write, but had to thank you all for reminding me to take time to give our three sons that extra kiss this Christmas. They are all men now (same general ages of your boys), but will always be our "little blond boys" in our hearts, even as they go out into the world and sometimes live on the edge. God Bless you all, keeping you in prayer every day, Judith & family, Rochester, NY - summer Wellfleet visitor

Dear Sharyn and all gathered in Boston,
Best wishes from this little corner of Wellfleet, including Alice and Jane the dogs for as good a Christmas as you can make. I suspect, knowing the crew, that it will be pretty lively despite the needles, tubes, etc. that are tying Caleb down right now. Thanks so much for keeping us all informed and sharing with us your insanely wonderful spirit. And thanks for Sky for the photos and the blog.

Sky, your photos are so wonderful and right on the money. There is a lot of emotional energy billowing around and it is definitely "electric." Yesterday's posts are so touching and moved me very much. I found a lovely card that says "The Solstice---when magic reinvents itself."

Sharyn stay strong but know that if you don't feel so----let us out here take up the slack. We are all blessed-each in our own way. I know for certain that I am. Peace and Joy for the Holidays.

Love, Penny on St.John

PS--to my beautiful daughter may I say that you are amazing and much love is bounding your way! Merry Christmas one and all.
