On the fourth of July, 2007 Caleb Potter was involved in a skateboarding accident.
He suffered serious injuries and continues to need all of our positive thoughts and prayers.
This blog is to serve as a space for updates on Caleb's journey of recovery.

This was the way the stars fell when I first arrived. Father's day on Sunday, and then Me. The greatest gifts I have ever received in my lifetime, have been the spared life of Caleb, the continued, healthy lives of my other two boys ( well three, counting Timmy) , and the gift of loyal and loving friendship that I have received from all of you.
Life's path has taken me down a road I would wish on no other....but it has never been dull.
My emotions are so up and down and all around...but I am never tired.
Life has knocked me down a few times, but I am still in the ring.
In spite of all that has happened, I still catch myself stopping by a stream, admiring the beauty of a petal, pausing to watch a little girl in a party dress blow bubbles, listening for my father's voice in the wind....... knowing that my mother is still watching over me.

Happy Birthday Aunt Sharyn!
Geez.......for all these years I have been thinking that being born the day after your b-day and my mother naming me Sharon and having the same SLL initials was a highlight for you! I'm thankful that Grandma Grace did not name you Henrietta!

Happy Birthday, Sharyn.
Glad you are not tired. That is a feat right there. I wish you continued energy and enthusiasm in your quest for meaning and contentment.
Have a great one! Even in this wet, blowy weather, the wild flowers are beautiful.

Happy Birthday Sharyn!

It was a pleasure seeing you and Caleb on the "bench" if only for a few minutes.

There is much poetry in what you write and definitely you should consider a book of some sort whether it be poems, a series of short stories or whatever. You have a gift for words and many lessons of life, love, pain and wisdom to share.

I returned to St.John a week or so ago and already miss Wellfleet, the daughter and new and old friends.

You are amazingly strong for all that you have endured in the last couple of years and I am sure at times you feel as 'tho you have experienced "battle fatigue." But you still plunge forward with hope which is so to be admired. Life is different and you still have to adjust. Give yourself more time and know that you are not alone.

Love and best wishes,

Penny

Happy birthday, Sharyn. So glad that you have your ups and can still see the beauty. We have been here in Wellfleet for a week now, and despite the awful weather, there is always so much that is beautiful to see and feel here.

Happy Birthday to you. Every year is a gift on this beautiful planet of ours. I was thinking that today as I passed Long Pond.

FELIZ Cumpleanos Sharyn~and B-Day Blessings to Peg from PA (on the 18th), and to me, tomorrow (my 60th).....milestones. How very grateful I am for having been able to share this path with you Sharyn, Caleb, Max, Kai and all our cyber buddies....it has been quite a ride. I must say that I think I have experienced every possible emotion over the last many months, but only few in comparison to what you all have gone through. Still, you have endured in a real and authentic way.

Today, I honor your strength and courage, your resiliency and honesty. You have never hesitated to speak your truth, and show us how you were stretching and growing right before our eyes....without blinking an eye, not ever realizing how profoundly your journey was touching our hearts and souls.

This day I Honor you, my friend for all that you have gone through, for being the Best mom you can be, and for always choosing LIFE, when darkness was often present at your doorstep...you choose LIGHT!

I honor your SPIRIT, may this new year be full of new and breathtaking Experiences, unfathomable Joy, magnificent Health, and Peace that knows no bounds.....may it be so.

With Great Love, Admiration and Heartfelt Gratitude,

Melinda....Mari say's "You rock Sharyn"

Happy Birthday, Sharyn!
Somehow it's not surprising you're born on the summer solstice.
Summer is here - a time of happiness and sun!
