Girlfriend update!!

Today was a beautiful day on Cape Cod. The sun was shinning, there was blue skies and we had a little wind in our hair. We felt we had to take advantage of the nice weather, because on Cape Cod, you never know when the weather is going to change. So, we took a nice long walk to Great Island, and this is where i realized why i love living here so much. Caleb had a great time throwing rocks, laughing at his brother and spud getting wet when the tide came up and just enjoying a nice day out with the sun our his face.

This is my twin brother matt, caleb and max hanging out on the dunes!!!. Look at the view in the backgroud....breathless!!!

It looks like caleb is doing a lil dance, and his smile says it all!!!

There was just something about this picture...all the boys walking with their backs to me and spud in the front. Like a cape cod card or something.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and comments on the blogs. It definitly makes me smile and sometimes shed a tear when i read the comments at the end of the day. Love u all and i hope to see u all this summer!!!
love jennie

Hi Jennie: Thanks for posting the great pictures! Nothing like an early spring walk on a Cape beach to blow the cobwebs out & get a nice rosy glow on the cheeks. The men are looking mighty handsome & robust. You are doing a super job.

Mornign Jennie,
what beautiful pictures. Made me want to be there even more than usual. Nothing in this world compares to walking on a Cape Cod beach. One of my favorite things to do especially very early morning, and of course just at sunset. Thank you for posting them it gave me a fantastic start to my day. Caleb looks wonderful, so full of joy. He (and all of you) has done such a fantastic job on this road to recovery. Our prayers stay with him as he continues to make amazing progress. All of you are in my mind daily. Be well........p.s. Spud is pretty awesome too

Great photos, Jennie. Made the ache I am feeling for a walk on the beach even more intense. We actually decided to come down to the Cape for the weekend (despite the iffy weather forecast). We just couldn't stand the thought of waiting another month.

Caleb looks wonderful! I hope he is feeling as good as he looks.

BEAUTIFUL pictures. When I looked at them for the third time I realized that as an outsider looking in I didn't "feel" ANY of the tragedy of the prior months. Caleb looks like he has put on some healthy weight from previous pictures I have seen! Those blue skies and fresh air have to be so GREAT for all of you...I hope the Springtime brings continued healing! Thanks for letting me be an outsider looking in on your ride!

Jennie, I too love the "girlfriend update" the most. I'm so proud of you and am inspired by your passion!

Thank you, Jennie, for another wonderfully positive girlfriend update. I often think how difficult this must be for you - your life has changed in an instant, too, and yet you've found your way with what must be a huge supply of insight, intelligence, empathetic understanding, sheer love for your surroundings and the people you've chosen to be close to. You're an inspiration to all of us, but especially to young people who often seem selfish, self-centered, and incapable of listening...you are amazing. Your life road will be filled with goodness because of the way you handle each day. Your strength is tangible!!!

jenny, seeing the pictures of Caleb in Wellfleet always mean a lot to me. Thank you for each time that you post them and adding your descriptions. He looks so great, and I also love that, in many of the pictures, he's there with his brothers or friends or you. We're thinking of you all,

Neil

Great pictures and update, thanks Jennie. Looks like it was a glorious time and you are correct about taking advantage of the day. Today we have clouds and snow.

Walking in the woods this weekend on one of those sunny days the wind was strong and it felt and sounded so much like the winds at the ocean. Difference is you have the nice sand and I had the crunch of snow. Ahh but spring is coming.

Regards to all

Hi Jennie
Thank you so much for the awesome pictures. They are such tangible proof of Caleb's healing and obvious joy of being with loved ones in the most beautiful place on earth. Your blogs are such a lifeline for all of us out here in cyberspace. I met you at Oysterfest and you are adorable and strong; but also would love to see you in photos with Caleb and friends. Many blessings.

How great to see these pictures- wish I were there too! Jennie- your positive outlook is so inspiring- you have lost (temporarily) so much- you clearly love your time with Caleb but if I am not mistaken- before the accident you two lived together? What a drastic change for you to go from living with the man you love to seeing him relatively so little and I am guessing little alone. I am sure you have your down feel sorry for yourself moments but man are you strong! You two are very very lucky to have each other.

Ahh Jennie, such a good plan to get out when the sun is shining and the air is so crisp. I've been walking along the river and the sea here in Marshfield and you're right, there is nothing better for the spirit! The promise of Spring is in the air, and everything feels so ALIVE. You make the ordinary extraordinary with your appreciation and love for what IS. You "get" that NOW, so I can only imagine the powerhouse you will be in the years to come. Thanks for the smile you brought to us.

Again, tears in my eyes. Those are wonderful pictures. My first visit to Cape Cod was this past summer, and I found the people and the landscape so uniquely beautiful. You have certainly conveyed that in those photo's.
