Thank you for popping on here Sharyn, it eases my mind to know you are still fighting the fight. I pray you still have a strong support system surrounding you.
I too still check your site once a week hoping to hear how you are doing.. Greg (McGrath) my son, was on the Cape for a few days in late July visiting friends and catching up - he may have seen you and said Hi.. He has had numerous head injuries over his life, two really severe and I am so grateful he is still Greg. Wishing you strength and support from all around you... You are an inspiration .... Susan
Sharyn - I, too, am one of many, who check in here often. You have a huge community of us friends out here. We love you and care. You can count on us. Love to you and your family. - With love - another woman/friend/mom who you don't know but who cares
Sharyn - Don't feel like blogging - that's fine. But when you write, it is as always provocative and thoughtful. Saw Caleb at Cumby and he was acting his normal self. R
Deepest gratitude for all you have shared, do share, and will continue to share. You have touched a chord which vibrates and enhances our lives and connectivity. You, your story, your beautiful son Caleb, Kai and Max are ever present in our consciousness.
My intention for you this day is to never loose sight of Infinite possibilities, the hope, light and love that comes with those intentions.....
Much Love and Light my Dear Friend..we are always close in spirit~Melinda and Mari
Sharyn, This is the first time that i am writing to you having read your posts off and on from almost day one. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long. I have an ABI (aquired brain injury) that comes and goes and i have found great support from a site called Daily Strength - look under TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Amongst the contributors, thre are a number of Mohers taking care of their sons as you are and this wonderful community of people offer suggestions, stories of recovery, and companionship to each other. Also, I don't know if you would like this, but i live part of the time in Wellfleet and would be happy to meet you and Caleb some time. You will not be depressed by meeting me, you will think i am prefectly normal (hurray!) But i thought i may be able to help you and/or Caleb in some way.
Lastly, have you ever looked into a website called Lumosity?
Forgive me if these web sites are old news to you.
At least, now you know there is another person out there amongst so many others who read and care about you and Caleb and hopefully this knowledge will take away a little piece of your pain and add to your big bag of hope.
Happy New Year to you Caleb, Kai and Max...Holding Intention for a magical new year with friends and family, glowing health, outrageous joy, abundance to meet your needs and lasting peace.
Your navy/white wool hat you would wear everytime you went snowboarding....I can still see it when I close my eyes. I knew everything was OK when you were around. I think of you often and carry your spirit with me where ever I go.
Hi Sharyn. Just checking in from afar. Thinking of you and wishing you all well...give Caleb a big hug and a kiss for me. Woo Woo!! :) I talked to some kids in town the other day...they were skateboarding around these hills here...not a helmet in sight. I told them all about Yellowbeard The Pirate. One of them went home and told his mom the story...she bought them all helmets.
Hope, we all have hope.
